زندگینامه هیلاری رادهام کلینتون -

وی فرزند نخست دروتی و هیو رودهام بود. هیلاری و برادرانش تونی وهیو در بریج پارک در حومه شهر شیکاگو در ایالت ایلینوی رشد یافت.بعد از پایان تحصیلات در کالج ولزلی در ۱۹۶۹ او وارد مدرسه حقوق دانشگاه ییل شد، و در این مکان برای نخستین بار با بیل کلینتون آشنا شد. او در سال ۱۹۷۳ دکترای حقوق را از همین دانشگاه دریافت کرد.

 بعد از مدتی در آرکانزاس در کنار بیل کلینتون که فعالیت زیادی را برای تبدیل شدن به یک سیاست‌مدار حرفه‌ای آغاز کرده بود مشغول شد.بیل کلینتون و هیلاری در سال ۱۹۷۵ با هم ازدواج کردند. هیلاری در سال ۱۹۷۶ عضو هیئت علمی دانشکده حقوق دانشگاه آرکانسا و همچنین عضو موسسه حقوقی (Rose law) شد. سال ۱۹۷۴ در اوج رسوایی واترگیت، هیلاری به عنوان دستیار کمیتهٔ قضایی کاخ سفید که پیرامون ریچارد نیکسون تحقیق می‌کرد مشغول کار شد.در سال ۱۹۸۰ بیل و هیلاری صاحب دختری به نام چلسی شدند.

 در این موقع همسرش بیل کلینتون به عنوان دادستان کل و بعد از مدتی فرماندار آرکانزاس انتخاب شد هیلاری به مدت ۱۲ سال بانوی اول آرکانزاس بود. او همچنین هوادار سرسخت تامین رفاه برای کودکان و آموزش و پرورش مناسب و استاندارد بود.با انتخاب بیل کلینتون به عنوان ریاست جمهوری هیلاری بانوی اول کشور شد. او همچنان فعالیت‌های عام‌المنفعهٔ خود را ادامه داد در سال ۱۹۹۳ مسئول گروه ویژه با نام (Health Care Reform) که وظیفه اصلاحاتی را در بخش سلامت جامعه را بر عهده داشت انتخاب شد.در سال ۲۰۰۰ هیلاری کلینتون به عنوان سناتور ایالت نیویورک انتخاب شد او یکی از اولین زنان منتخب در مجلس سنای ایالات متحده آمریکا بود.خانم هیلاری از سال ۱۹۹۳ تا ۲۰۰۱ صاحب‌خانهٔ کاخ سفید و بانوی نخست ایالات متحده بود. پیش از آن وی سمت بانوی نخست ایالت آرکانزاس را نیز داشت و در آن ایالت وکیلی مهم به شمار می‌رفت.

 وی تحصیل کردهٔ دانشگاه ییل بوده و از اعضای میانه‌روی حزب دموکرات ایالات متحده آمریکا است.

 وی پس از یک مبارزه انتخاباتی درون حزبی که ۱۸ ماه به طول انجامید، در تاریخ ۷ ژوئن ۲۰۰۸ اعلام کرد که به تلاش‌های خود برای احراز سمت اولین رئیس جمهور زن آمریکا پایان داده است و از باراک اوباما برای احراز مقام ریاست جمهوری ایالات متحده آمریکا حمایت کرد. در اول دسامبر سال ۲۰۰۸ باراک اوباما به طور رسمی هیلاری کلینتون را به عنوان وزیرخارجه دولت خود معرفی کرد

وی در سفر ماه می ۲۰۰۹ پرزیدنت اوباما به خاورمیانه در بازدید از مسجدی در مصر با احترام به فرهنگ اسلامی، روسری به سر کرد.

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is the junior United States Senator from New York, and a member of the Democratic Party. She is married to Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, and was the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. She is also a lawyer and a former First Lady of Arkansas.

Clinton was elected to the United States Senate in 2000, becoming the first First Lady elected to public office and the first woman elected statewide in New York.[1] She was re-elected in 2006. As senator, she sits on the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Environment and Public Works, the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and the Special Committee on Aging.

On January 20, 2007, Clinton announced the formation of a presidential exploratory committee for the United States presidential election of 2008 and began active campaigning for the Democratic nomination.

Presidential election of 2008

Clinton had been mentioned as a potential candidate for United States President since at least October 2002, when an article in The New York Times discussed the possibility. Since then, Clinton had been ranked among the world's most powerful people by Forbes magazine and Time magazine's Time 100. Opinion polling consistently places her among the most popular statewide officials in New York. At the same time, Clinton has often been referred to as one of the most polarizing figures in American politics.

On January 20, 2007, Clinton announced on her Web site the formation of a presidential exploratory committee, with the intention to become a candidate for president in the United States presidential election of 2008. In her announcement, she stated, "I'm in. And I'm in to win." No woman has ever been nominated by a major party for President of the United States. She is expected to make a formal announcement of candidacy at a later time.

Clinton has assembled a team of advisers and operatives to run her campaign. Patti Solis-Doyle is the first female Hispanic to manage a presidential campaign. Mike Henry had managed Tim Kaine's successful campaign for Governor of Virginia in 2005, and coordinated the Democratic advertising efforts for the Senate elections of 2006. Howard Wolfson, a veteran of New York politics, serves as the campaign spokesperson. Evelyn S. Lieberman, who worked for Clinton when she was First Lady and served as Deputy White House Chief of Staff, is the chief operating officer of the campaign.

In early 2007, Clinton led the field of candidates competing for the Democratic nomination in opinion polls for the election. Most polls placed Senator Barack Obama of Illinois and former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina as Clinton's closest competitors in the early caucus and primary election states. Clinton set records for early fundraising. In early May, 2007, polls showed that Obama had overtaken Clinton,but by May 7, 2007, new polling data indicated Clinton had reclaimed the lead.

On May 4, 2007, a Louisiana State University student was arrested and held on charges of planning an attack against Clinton during a Baton Rouge appearance by her.
